there are no words to express how sad and sick this makes me.

i've been chided for being too optimistic about the hopeful nature i deem my fellow human beings at large sometimes in the face of disappointing and stark facts and evidence.

i'll never give up hoping for evidence of 'better angels'... but my god.... here we are.
