i haven’t written about this [yet] but the day AFTER my friend was taken down… Sacramento experienced a series of wind and rain storms so brutal and intense there’s a very good chance he would have been torn by the roots and fallen on the owner’s home or the home of the neighbors on the other side of their fence.

he wasn’t aging well and became ‘a threat’ according to the owner of the property.

had the wind, rains, and storm not been so ferocious so shortly after he went down, i might still be inconsolable.

i definitely enjoyed the time i was able to share with my old friend.
