holy cow.

and i have no doubt you're right.

BUT... i'm curious [has bit me in the ass more than once or twice] so before i risk staying and hanging out in a toxic online environment to observe what happens from the inside, so to speak—in spite of your well-reasoned and helpful essay.

IRL for the everyday person is now populated by a spun-out population of he/she/they's still surviving a global pandemic and all the other pre-existing fresh hells in communities with family, friends, neighbors, and complete strangers—some sharing ideals and [surprise?!?] many NOT—is what i call going out into the wild.

i returned to the service trenches after covid destroyed my retail business, a seasoned veteran of the food, beverage, and hospitality industry.

the so-called freedom aka post-lockdown is anything BUT FREE and my fellow earthlings are SHOOK.

at least in theory, i can keep "the twitter" at arm's length, unlike my kitchen colleagues and my post-shift mates toasting proper pints of brews at the lair and pub directly adjacent to the trattoria where i toil.

does twitter 'trump' life in real time???

and ty for your essay today.

:-)
