after the party at Buck’s Crystal Palace we headed over to the Karaoke Bar where i sang George Jones’ *The Race Is On* [badly] while the Bakersfield *regulars* wiped the floor with me and the rest of our motley crew.

so it’s tough competition in Bakersfield and we’re rooting for you.
