i've never understood it so plainly and comprehensively so thank you and the folks that responded.

wasn't anticipating such a powerful punch to my gut but since that's where my instincts and intuition tend to serve me so there's odd relief in spite of the bruising.

i think we're going to need more than bumpersticker solutions like RESIST! to get... what though...at one point i envisioned driving cross country with my three shrimpy dogs riding shotgun... stopping in red states to walk precincts... [fwiw, a broad strokes plan, but you get the idea, i hope].

unfortunately, i'm [mostly] happy carless in my nocal hamlet... and while that sounds quaint, it's more like the foam on the latté, and decades living here including through the global pandemic lockdown has revealed bitter coffee grounds all the gum stuck under the diner-tables, so to speak.

it's a lot today.
