as the proprietress of a warehouse staged full of antiques, collectibles, and all manner of art, architectural elements and then some—almost every *transaction* between customers or day-labor becomes a bit of a weird waltz.

20+ years in this biz [including a lifetime of working in film/media production] has really accelerated my need to figure folks out…often on the fly and usually, if not almost always, under stressful conditions.

i’m buying your book not just because your article was so helpful, but tbh…after a lot of therapy that’s recently been more focused on PTSD for trauma survivors [me? who me?!?!!?? uh. duh.] and [willingly] enrolling in *Trauma School* where i’ve been learning about various CBT therapies i’ve found to be truly remarkable…[who knew i could not only SLOW DOWN a panic attack AND trust my gut at the same time?].

feeling in control* is super-important to me…almost too important to me as no one can be *in control* of their environment 24/7 [and it’s exhausting AF!]…that said… your article combined with the skills from CBT or DBT [so many LMNOPs these days]…gives me THE POWER to own my anxiety and simply slow down the feeling i’m being dragged [helplessly. the worst!] behind a runaway buckboard WHILE making one bad decision after another. [it doesn’t help that my default is to move FAST…or at least not move slowly :-)… so finding my own BRAKES until i get my shit together has been life-saving.

thanks mucho.
